The latest Beta add-on from Blogger is a "Stats" section in the Dashboard - to monitor and analyze your visitor traffic in near-real-time.
Tracking your visitors' activity on your blog is an important part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You should also focus and improve the important posts of your blog which bring maximum traffic to you.
The most important tracking site of course belongs to Google. Being a blogger you cannot afford to miss this one: Google Analytics. Although it may take a little more time to understand all the statistical data displayed at G-Analytics completely and even more time to analyse the data and use it to effectively plan your SEO strategies, but being a Google product it will not only provide complete tracking details as provided by other similar services, but it does help a lot in Search engine optimization (SEO) too.
In Statcounter, to get some of the advanced features, including an increase in log size, a paid account or an upgrade is needed, but at Google-Analytics everything is free, rather they even have an advanced beta section for interested members.
And finally a must for everybody is an account in Google Webmaster Tools, where you have to simply submit your websites sitemap to access the most important SEO details.

ReplyI have intentionally left it, the only advantage in gostats is it's simple user interface, but the problem is the features offered by it are more or less similar to statcounter rather it shows many of the common features, only to the upgraded members !

ReplyLabels are purposely blocked(by default) in blogger, this is done to make sure that the content is not indexed twice by Google-bot.
ReplyBecause if you go to that blocked tag page, you'll again see the same content (your own posts) with different urls (tags urls),
this may be considered as duplicate content by google......(Google penalizes for duplicate content)
so to prevent this tags are not allowed to get indexed by robots.

But the labels widget at the bottom is quite lengthy and it may annoy your visitors, so I would recommend you to replace it with a tag-cloud widget. Your header image is cool, but it should be centered properly.

Replyyou have a great blog too, but I think your sign in and sign up links aren't linked to the correct sites..and also I found that you are using auromatic read-more hack in your blog, I do not recommend this, I am soon going to publish a post with detials on this topic(correct way to truncate posts). Sai, your recommendation on StatCounter is right on! I've done 2 other blogs in Typepad and Wordpress. I thought WP's plugin was way better than Typepad's standard tracker, which is not even adequate (to be nice). But after watching StatCounter for two weeks I can say it puts Wordpress's tracker to shame! Thanks for the info

ReplyIt has been easy way to track the visitors form Blogger's real time dashboard. But, we can't track all visitors deeply. Thats why we have to use some external tracking system
