Bukisa vs Today.com - Earn Money While Blogging - Part 2

UPDATE (Feb. 2011): Bukisa no longer pays just for bringing traffic to their site. Now, at Bukisa you will have to place your Adsense/Chitika adverts and when visitors click those ads, that revenue is shared with you. Now BloggerStop NO LONGER suggests Bukisa as an easy money-making Blogging service.

Blogging is almost always associated with earning money online. But it is not necessay to write paid posts or sponsored posts to start earning. You don't even have to sign up with any advertising agencies like Adsense, Komli, or Bidvertiser etc. to earn money while blogging. There are websites, ready to add funds to your bank account simply for writing posts, and bringing visitors to them. Here's a comparison between the leaders of "make money while blogging" service providers.

Bukisa vs Today

First things first...

So how much do they pay and when do they payout?
At Bukisa, according to their previous month's total earnings, Bukisa team fixes a "Bukisa Index" every month. Presently at the time of writing this post, the index is at $3.45. That means you will earn $3.45 for every 1000 visitors your articles receive. Whereas Today.com says it will pay $2 per 1000 pageviews your articles receive (and this figure is subject to change every month). Presently I receive just around $1 per 1000 views. Even in the payout values, Bukisa beats Today.com. Payout is the minimum amount of money you need to earn to request a cashout to your paypal account. At Bukisa you can get your money transferred to your Paypal account as soon as you make $10, whereas at Today you need to earn atleast $50 before asking for a cashout.

Then why don't everyone simply select Bukisa over Today?
Blogging is not just about making money online. Being a blogger, you own a unique url on the World Wide Web. Working on your blog is just like decorating your work desk. At Bukisa, you are not assigned with any unique url (no domain/sub-domain is registered for you). You can neither change the template nor you can add any widgets to your blog.
But at Today, although the flexibility to edit your template and adding widgets is much less as compared to blogs hosted on Blogger or on Wordpress, but are much more as compared to Bukisa. So at Today.com you not only get paid to receive visitors to your blog, but you have all the permissions, edit the template colors and add some simple widgets to the blog.

So what do I suggest...
It's simple, register at both the websites and write unique content for both of them. As you are given a unique url (sub-domain) at Today.com, so it is better to keep your blog focussed on a single topic. But in Bukisa you are free to write whatever you feel to write. So for all your random ramblings switch to Bukisa.

Hi there, I got a little words for you :
I think there is a lot of making money online method, they all are good and profitable. But, the most important factors of making money online are traffic and conversion. Traffic is good, but targeted traffic is much better. I hope that I can make money by following your advice. Thanks.

Yeah of course targeted traffic is definitely good, but only when you are trying to moneitize using ad-banners or text-link ads. Or if you are trying to get returning visitors.
But while writing for sites like Bukisa, targeted traffic is not much required, you are only considering a single post written by you, so it doesn't matter even if you bring the traffic from the least converting traffic sources like stumbleupon/digg, because here only the traffic counts, whether they subscribe/not or click on ads/not is not of your concern.

So of course maintain a personal blog of yours, as you presently doing, and simultaneously write occasionally for sites like Bukisa and Today. These are the sources of passive income, which no blogger should neglect. This is what even I do

Erm, Sai, I have a question to ask
How to Link a Page to Another page In Same Weblinks?
I Mean
There's Two Page, one page is blank with a "here" and the other is full of stories
Then,

The 1st page will be the blank one, and when clicked "Here", Will Transfer to the Page with Stories IN Same Links (www.aa.com -> www.aa.com)

Do you know how to do this? thx

Hi CrakerLO
Welcome back,

Use two similar looking links, like
http://aa.com
and
http://www.aa.com

So have you "Here"/"Welcome To My Site" link in aa.com
when someone clicks on it, he will be redirected to
www.aa.com

PS: You cannot do this in .BlogSpot blogs, you need to have your own 'custom domain' to do this.

@ Anonymous,

Back up your present template & widgets.

Change your template temporarily to any other template.
Then again select your template as "Son of Moto"

Well, if you have seen it in a blogger blog, and the page didn't change it's url, then the person would be using a css+jquery trick.
It's just like having a mask on your face (blog's homepage) and when someone clicks on a link, you remove the mask.

Actually by using this trick one can even add an under-construction page in Blogger blogs...I'll try to write a tutorial on this asap.

Interesting post. I want to run a business soon, so I'll keep this post in mind. Becoming, what I hope, an entrepreneur is somewhat new to me, so I can use all the help and advice I can get! I know it'll be tough. Lately I've been thinking about the idea of buying a business instead of starting from scratch. I'm not sure what I should go for. Franchise? Home-based? I don't know. Do you have any suggestions or advice? Thanks!
