Tell me onething will I need to pay just $6.99 for every year, OR will there be some hidden costs too? How much will it cost me altogether for getting a paid domain.

What do you suggest .net or .com for my blog?

Ya it is only 6.99 for the first year...no other hidden charges at all, I have registered my own domain at 1and1.
But from second year onwards charges will be $8.99

And regarding the TLD, go for .com if it's available, otherwise .net is also good, as long as you know that most of the visitors will be coming to your site from Google !

Blogger actually does already provide the pagination feature in comments, but only after 200 comments...

You may try IntenseDebate or Disqus which replaces your present comment system by their own system, and then the pagination system wil be under your control...

i prefer .com or .net because currently use yourname.blogspot.com and want to convert it soon to yourname.com after reading your post.

I won't suggest you to go with Indian companies, better register your domain from sites like, 1and1 or name.com (they are offer many features like Free private domain registration).
