ReplyOne thing, What is that notification on the dashboard? You can see it? I think it is recently puted...:-/
Ok already backed up

ReplyOne thing.. Have you noticed that in some webs the quotations (Not sure if it's wrote right, but you get the point) has added a slash (/) or backslash (\) before ? Like this:
I got a dog and called it \"Monster\"
It's kinda weird.. I found that in a web from Argentina (Taringa) and looked like 8-}

Changing theme, do you know if this can be done ?

See ya
BTW: Look at this image: http://www.imagengratis.org/images/2559.jpg =))
How do I ensure that the content on my blog is copyright protected. Is there a statement I can add to the blog? How do I do that?

ReplyHaha...better late than never
@Daniel
Nice pic dude...
couldn't understand your "slash" point, If I'm not wrong, then some people use them because they are not able to display html codes in their blogs, i.e. instead of <span> they write /"span/" or something like that.
BTW which theme do you want to change?
@real estate agent,
Register at MyFreeCopyright. As the name says, it's completely free to join and use.
@Sudharshan
Which Image tutorial? you mean creating animated images?
Thanks Beben...
@Reza,
You're most welcome buddy !
@Anup
ReplyI think Izhar's talking about his blog extremecircuits, as I checked the blog, and a message at the top says:
My Site Was BANNED By Blogger And The Projects were removed. Please Have Patience Until I Publish All Projects Again. Thank YOU
I think he can get back his posts...he has 240+ subscribers, so ask him to note his subscribers mail-ids and then mail them informing the issue and asking them to mail him back his posts.
@Divya: LOL.. The "Changing theme" thing is actually a saying in Spanish that means "Cambiando de tema". It is when someone wants to talk about other things.. I didn't think ou would take that literally, but you made me remember the things I was going to say..
ReplyIs there a way that I can change my Blogger theme/template but keep my widgets ?
Not the CSS, just the widgets I have. Any idea ?
And the custom things like the 50% opacity pics, the "Read More" code (I prefer yours to the Blogger's), and the other things I used from your tuts ??
ReplyOkay..got it!
ReplyWell if you want to change the theme, recently Blogger has introduced a new feature, that will allow you to keep the widgets you have on your present template, i.e. when you upload a new template and click on save button, a warning with three options will be shown to you, which is your widgets are going to be deleted, do you want to "keep widgets"? "delete widgets"? or "cancel"?
Anyways I already have a tutorial on how to change your template, without losing the widgets.
But of course other customized hacks like read more/opacity etc. will be lost, you have to manually add them to your new template, that is why I usually add comments to the code like;
<!--READ-MORE-STARTS-->
...
...
...
<!--READ-MORE-STOPS-->
which tells you that, this is a customized separately added code, which you can now safely transfer to your new template.
Important points to remember while changing a template, are:
1. Download and save your present template, as a back up in case something goes wrong.
2. First try the new template on a trial blog, add all the customization which you want to see in your new template.
Thanks Divya.. Now I must find a template I like..

ReplyI found one but just got errors, but while looking I found another one really cool..
Look at my demo : http://danoxspres.blogspot.com/
It's not spam or nothing but is cool
Just a presentation card. BTW template is here:
http://btemplates.com/2010/01/24/visiting-card/
Any suggestion to make that template better ?? :-/
And with making it better I mean my page xD

ReplyYou should make one.. Like:
http://main.bloggerstop.com/pres.html
Then you fill the CSS
That is too good for me and very much useful for. So thanks for sharing with me. For more details visit at - htt://bbspanish.com/
ReplyThat's a great template, Daniel.
ReplyThat reminds me of the personalised profile page
But of course, as you have mentioned this template allows us to use it on our own domain
Talk about Protecting Your Blog ! Great advice here Sai , however : I believe that Protection against ones Content seems to be unavoidable here within the bloggersphere from Content & Design Thieves . I just came across this blog site BLOGZZLED , which very politely links to you . It seems that this individual not only used a free Blogger Theme , designed , coded and dispersed freely by Lauren Thompson of NYMFONT , but moreover : this individual removed the credit link - then further copied Lauren Thompsons personal Blog Design and is claiming to being a Designer ( and claiming the design as her own ) . I see that you have a little Wall of Shame there on your sidebar for "Content Thieves" - and I believe this individual belongs right up there along w/ the rest of the cyber- content - thieves inhabiting the web ( be they male or female ! ) . Today it is Lauren Thompson's blog / site - tomorrow it could be yours , or someone else's .
ReplyWorst part is : this individual links back to you and 2 other blogger tut sites - I guess this person is learning more than : "On how to start a Blog " ! I believe this person should be listed on your little Wall of Shame , so that others may become aware of their tactics and unethical intent .
I am posting this here openly for everyone else to see and to beware ! If anyone has PURCHASED / PAID for a premium theme - and they have ripped it ( converted it ) themselves - then by all means : you have the right to remove the credit link and modify your theme any way you want - but if a theme has been designed for you or you have obtained it FREELY - then : NO ! you do not have the right to remove the Author credit link ! I guess the individual in question obviously has no clue as to ethical Blogging practices - or maybe they just assumed that the net is so vast they would never become found out - how wrong this person is ! I hope I see this persons name on your Content Thieves Wall next time I visit your blog . And may this serve as a lesson to anyone else who will read this ..
P.S : Got your email, sorry Ive been busy coding on both platforms ( WP & Blogger ) and have not had time to respond Sai . Will be in touch soon . Be well , and take care .
Mia
Thanks for having my back Mia. I am mor mad that she copied my own blog more than even removing the link from the free template you know?
Reply@Mia and Lauren,

ReplyI completely agree with you and will try my best to help you.
I don't understand why some people hesitate so much in giving credits to others...and at least in the online-work... it's just a link-back and not their kidneys....what's the problem in passing on some luv & authority to someone else? (specially if that person has helped you)
In my own blogging experience, I came across so many blogs, with stolen content from my blog. Some do it unintentionally and many of them are really shameless culprits; that no. of blogs in that list on my sidebar is just a fraction of what it should be originally.
Anyways....I always give a warning to the blog owners before taking any step against their blogs. And same applies in this case. The link you have given is not working, kindly give me the correct link, as I want to check the blog myself.
And please comment in that blog, warning her/him of the consequences s/he has to face, if credits are not given within a fixed time-frame.
@Lauren
When someone steals your content, of course you should try your best to get the content back or get the credits. But at the same time, you should be happy that YOU have CREATED something worth stealing...just like gold/diamonds
Hye Divya how do you seprate these smileys on single background? When I try to add backgroung on it, it will covers hole comments...What to do?
Reply@Anup
ReplyI haven't changed any BG color, using the code as it is. You are using white as BG, and the smileys are clearly visible. To align them properly, just change the width, so that equal no. of smileys appear in the top and bottom line.
OK. I backed up as you suggested.
ReplyWhere do I keep the backup? Right now its on my computer..would you suggest I email it to myself so I have it availabe online?
This backup I assume only backs everythig from today's date..there is no way to make automatic backups?
Thanks for reminding me! Too much time procrastinating!
ReplyThis backup I assume only backs everythig from today's date..there is no way to make automatic backups?
Replyvery informative!! thanks for reminding
